Prof Ben Groom has been invited to Australia in 2026 as an Eminent Speaker of the Economic Society.

Australia is aiming to develop a “nature repair market” to encourage the protection of biodiversity and to achieve the transition to a net zero economy in a fast and efficient way.

Prof Ben Groom will visit Canberra, amongst other Australian cities, for a roundtable discussion and some meetings with policymakers in DEECW (Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment, and Water).
