Ben Groom will be talking to the DEFRA team about social discounting and cost benefit analysis. Ben will discuss the background to the UK Green Book approach to social discounting, how this contrasts with the approaches taken elsewhere such as the US, and how climate policy reflects a position on intergenerational fairness issues.
