Research interests

Chunying’s core research interests revolve around sustainable and responsible finance and how the financial sector can influence and be influenced by biodiversity concerns. Understanding how businesses incorporate biodiversity data in their strategic decisions and how financial markets react to such information has become an essential facet of Chunying’s work.

Her passion for this area is driven by the realization that the interplay between finance and biodiversity can pave the way for more holistic, responsible, and sustainable business practices in the future.

Recently, Chunying has expanded her research horizons to include the study of biodiversity and sustainability information disclosure and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) related policies, especially within emerging markets. These interests stem from the significance of transparency between corporations and investors and the evolving dynamics of these markets, which present both unique challenges and opportunities.
